At Captain Don’s sport fishing, we would like to provide you with an update on the evolving situation with COVID-19 and the precautions we are taking. Our fishing charters have re-opened to the public.
The health and safety of our staff and customers is top priority and we’re taking a number of steps to increase your protection while you’re out fishing with us. Our management team has been regularly meeting to ensure we have the latest information and are following advice and guidelines from the CDC. We’re maintaining strict hygiene and cleaning practices on the boat with staff.
We are thoroughly cleaning the boat before and after every trip, including wiping down and sanitizing all surfaces and equipment. On board our vessel we have hand sanitizer, not only located in the toilet as usual, but one located to the left of the main cabin door.
Soap and water are also located on the deck of the boat for your use. We emphasize the importance of frequent hand-washing and good personal hygiene with signage. To provide adequate social distancing, the maximum capacity on our boat is six passengers.
In addition to this, we are also screening staff and passengers for potential symptoms. We believe one of the best places to be is in the fresh air and away from crowds.
WE DO ASK THAT EVERYONE FOLLOW REGULATIONS AND TO NOT BOOK IF THEY ARE RECOVERING, HAVE COVID-19, HAVE BEEN NEAR SOMEONE WITH COVID-19 OR HAVE BEEN UNWELL IN ANY MANNER. THIS INCLUDES HAVING A COUGH, COLD, SORE THROAT, FEVER OR ANY SIGN OF ILLNESS OR IF YOU HAVE RETURNED HOME FROM AN OVERSEAS TRIP IN THE LAST MONTH.
FOR US TO BE ABLE TO STAY OPEN WE DO NEED FOR THIS TO HAPPEN AND SHOULD ANYONE TURN UP FOR A CHARTER THAT WE DEEM UNWELL, THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BOARD THE BOAT FOR EVERYONE’S SAFETY.
